PAALANA CHILDREN HEALTH CARE AND HYGIENE PROMOTION PROJECT INAUGURATED

As the part Paalana Children Health Care and Hygiene Promotion Project, Hygiene Awareness Program planned for one year as a joint venture in association with Polpully Grama Panchayath was inaugurated on 27th September 2011at Polpully Grama Panchayath Hall by Smt. K. Praseetha, President, Polpully Grama Panchayath.  Rev. Fr. Julius Arakal cmi, our Director, detailed the One Year Project.  This programme is mainly aiming to extend medical care to the people of Polpully, especially Women and Children.  This Programme includes various activities such as Medical Camps with Free Medicine Supply, Hygiene Awareness classes etc., in each and every ward of Polpully Grama Panchayath.  The area of operation will be the most backward area of the Gramapanchayat, selected in consultation with local government body.  The project is aimed to deliver integrated care and awareness among women and children mainly from BPL category through various channels, of which Anganavadis, Lower Primary and Upper Primary Schools in the project area.  The planned Health & Hygiene Program for one year is well set to provide total health care with regular Medical Camps and Awareness programs.  The project also aims to select children with chronic health issues and provide regular medical checkups, treatment and awareness.
